Happy Week 1 of the regular season http://www.authenticsdetroitlions.com/cheap-glover-quin-jersey , everybody! The Detroit Lions will kick off their first regular season practice on Monday, and that means it’s time to get serious about our 2018 season preview. This week, we’ll be featuring predictions from all of our staff, get into our breakdown of the New York Jets, and, of course, welcome the return of our “On Paper” previews. To kick things off, we want to bring some optimism to the group. It’s been a rough preseason Youth Ricky Wagner Jersey , and the Lions made some unpopular decisions with their roster cuts this past weekend. As a result, morale seems to be pretty down right now. So with that in mind, today’s Question of the Day is:Who will be the Lions’ breakout players in 2018?My answer: Devon Kennard. In his four years with the Giants, Kennard wasn’t a bad player, but he was far from an integral piece for New York. The Giants moved him all around the defensive front, and couldn’t seem to find a specific role for him. As a result, he’s never finished a season with more than 4.5 sacks or 61 tackles, and the team decided not to re-sign him this year.I think Kennard is primed to set personal records all over the place with the Lions. As the starting left defensive end/SAM linebacker http://www.lionsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-t.j.-lang-jersey , Kennard is going to be an integral piece of this defense, both at setting the edge on the left side of the defense and bringing some heat on passing downs. We saw flashes of it in the preseason, as Kennard was one of the few players that was actually responsible for some quarterback pressures. Going up against team’s right tackles, Kennard should have the opportunity to touch double digit sacks. I wouldn’t expect quite that much from him, but I think he’s definitely primed for an 8-9 sack season, which would be huge. The Lions haven’t had an edge rusher not named Ezekiel Ansah tally more than 8.0 sacks since Cliff Avril in 2012. Now is Kennard’s time.Your turn.Tweets from https://twitter.com/PrideOfDetroit/lists/lions-coverageThursday open thread: Which Packers player—outside of Aaron Rodgers—scares you the most? The Green Bay Packers have been accused by many—including their own fans—of being a one-man team. Aaron Rodgers has been the face of that franchise for years now, and so goes Rodgers, as do the Packers. When he’s on Matthew Stafford Jersey , the Packers are as dangerous as any other team in the NFL. We he’s off or injured, the Packers aren’t just mortal, they’re bad. His supporting cast has always seemed lackluster, which is likely why Rodgers only has a single championship to his name. But this year, the Packers went out and found themselves a new general manager, and although they’re off to just a modest 2-1-1 start, many believe there’s something different about this Packers team. There may be some more dangerous players on both sides of the ball that opposing coaches will have to account for. So today’s Question of the Day is:Which Packers player, outside of Aaron Rodgers Authentic Ziggy Ansah Jersey , scares you most for?My answer: Aaron Jones. It’s no secret that the Detroit Lions’ run defense has been an absolute disaster thus far. They’ve made Matt Breida and Isaiah Crowell look like elite backs and Ezekiel Elliott look like... well, Ezekiel Elliott. Jones is exactly the type of back Detroit has been vulnerable to: a speedy, shifty guy that can test the edges of the defense. He’s had a modest start to the season after serving a two-game suspension. In Weeks 3 and 4, he combined for 17 carries, 107 rushing yards and a touchdown. The Packers like to spread their distribution in the backfield, but Jones’ 6.3 yards per carry may be enough to warrant more touches over Jamaal Williams (3.4 YPC) and Ty Montgomery (4.5 YPC). Rodgers is always a scary player to go up against, but he may not even have to be himself on Sunday if the Lions can’t stop Jones.Your turn.Tweets from https://twitter.com/PrideOfDetroit/lists/lions-coverage
